Word For The Day: God’s Unfailing Love

“The Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the man who trusts in Him.”
Psalm 32:10

Stop, go back and read that again. God’s love cannot fail! God’s love never stops, never wavers; it is constant. As we go through adversities, setbacks, and the uncertainties of life, one thing that NEVER changes is that God’s love is unfailing.

There are times when God’s children rebel against the clear commands of God in Scripture. As we saw yesterday in Hebrews 12:5-6, it is His unfailing love that patiently rebukes and corrects us.

“They refused to obey and did not remember the miracles you had done for them. Instead, they became stubborn and appointed a leader to take them back to their slavery in Egypt. But you are a God of forgiveness, gracious and merciful, slow to become angry, and rich in unfailing love.”
Nehemiah 9:17

Sometimes we are haunted by our past sins, and though we know He has forgiven us, we may wonder if God loves us much as He does other people. Remember this; God’s love is constant and unfailing.

“Do not remember the rebellious sins of my youth.
Remember me in the light of your unfailing love,
for you are merciful, O Lord.”
Psalm 25:7

When adversity and trials come unexpectedly, we may question God’s love. But God is clear on the matter, and His love is consistent and unfailing.

“I will be glad and rejoice in your unfailing love,
for you have seen my troubles,
and you care about the anguish of my soul.”
Psalm 31:7

He loves us because of His Son, Jesus Christ. You are loved to the same extent that God the Father loves His Son! You belong to Christ, are in Christ, are sons and daughters of God in Christ! Look at the love that God had for you to search for you, find you, rescue you, adopt you as His son or daughter and give you an eternal hope and home – all accomplished through Christ! What UNFAILING LOVE!

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.”
Ephesians 1:3-6

Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in you alone.
Psalm 32:22

Have a lovely Tuesday as you bask in the love of your Savior and God.
