On Sundays, we have been learning in the Book of Jonah three truths about the heart of God toward sinners:
1. God is compassionate.
2. God is sovereign.
3. God is patient.

If you missed our study in the Book of Jonah yesterday, here is the link. https://www.sermonaudio.com/sermoninfo.asp?SID=712201521095

Here is what that means: God loves sinners! People are wicked, selfish, and cruel. Sinners do not care about God, or His will, or His word. In fact, when they are diametrically opposed to God’s law, and therefore they will face the justice of God’s judgment! And it is there, among these sinners, God strategically places His redeemed messengers! God sovereignly places His people in families, local communities, companies, towns, and cities. God commissions these messengers to tell everyone the good news that Jesus saves!

Jonah 1:1-2 Reminds us that the message of hope and salvation must be proclaimed! This is a message of God’s holiness, your sinfulness, and God’s remedy – repent and believe in Jesus!

Romans 10:13-15
13 For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15 And how are they to preach unless they are sent?

Brothers and Sisters, let’s embrace our call to be messengers of Jesus Christ this week! Tell someone this week that Jesus Saves and invite them to believe in Him.
